Hello Blogger,
My name is Ani and I am creating this blog for my English 495: English Subject Matter class. I am a student at California State University, Northridge and will be graduating this summer with my Bachelors in English, Literature. After graduating, I will be moving on to my Masters in English, Literature at Chapman University. I hope to someday become an educator myself and teach why literature is so important. I have always been in love with studying literature and learning about new authors. There’s just something about it that I strongly connect with and can sit and talk about for hours. My cousin once said, “You have the power of the pen,” which is something that I never thought of becuase, in what way do my words matter? Well, when I thought of that I also thought, that’s probably something all authors and writers were thinking before they realized how much of an impact their work really had.

You may be asking, what’s the point of this blog?
I hope to educate people who are interested in the topic of mythology and the female divine – simple! I specifically wanted to focus on the female divine, becuase I find it to be a very important topic to discuss in todays day and age. Studying the female divine in Greek or Roman mythology, teaches individuals to identify the meaning behind each female in the myths and what exactly they represent. Overall, mythology is an important part of our history becuase it teaches us about heritage, religion, and is a very important part of literature for us bookworms. What I hope to achieve with this blog is to show readers, that mythology and the female divine are more then just things you learn from the past but, how it applies to the present? What it means to be a female divine? And, how can certain topics be brought up through the lessons learned in the myths?
Why Mythology and the Female Divine? What do I hope to achieve?
I am not only creating this blog to educate on the female divine. This blogging tool allows me to fulfill an assignment for my english class and teach myself something new. This class is teaching me how to teach but also, how to use some forms of technology for my future. It is going to help me cultivate some technical skills and helps me explore more on how this topic can be taught in a class setting. This blog is going to be a learning tool for me and for you. Just a disclaimer: it is being made for upper division english class but everyone is free to read and enjoy!

I think Author and Home pages are still the same. Make Home a static page?
